"Background" / "Introduction" section isn't really that

For @ikesadbot — the introduction is lovely, but I don't know if it really reflects the content of the guide particularly well?

I think it could use with some content that makes it clear that proper de novo design and our simpler redesign are related but distinct, say that we are focusing 100% here on the redesign side, then maybe move the rest of the cool de novo stuff to an appendix and link out to some other resources?

Add an introduction / background section for talking about why people might want to use these tools, what they can and can't do, and perhaps a quick overview of how they work (very broad strokes)
