% TODO: Source of demand
Currently there is a significant demand in industry for custom
emulation. To become a professional emulator developer, small steps of
learning are required. By writing this emulator, our team will be taking
a small step in this direction and should leave with a better
understanding emulator development. The ability to understand all parts
of a computing system -- RAM, flash memory, register states, and so on
-- are crucial to working with emulation. Additionally, physical
hardware can be limited based its interfaces, may be costly to develop
on, or in some cases inaccessible altogether. Security researchers want
to be able to create as many virtual environments as possible with
minimal cost to understand everything a system does.
