I was using the QT-based console from the SWI-Prolog version 7.2.3 distribution when it suddenly crashed while reloading modified files. After I restarted it, all text was unreadable, as it now has a black background I cannot remove. When I select the text, I can read it, as the background is blue then.

same problem, running SWI-Prolog (Multi-threaded, 64 bits, Version 7.3.19) in Mac OS 10.11.3

Please search a bit more. If I recall well, there is a long thread with a resolution somewhere. Forgot where and what the result was though ... It has something to do with parsing the preferences.
