Hi Vikram, Thank you for alerting this issue. We discussed it in the Developer Teleconference at the end of last week. Failing scientific tests are a challenge, especially if the failure is non-technical. RC staff are looking into the nature of the failure now. If it is technical, like a build failure, then it will be fixed soon.
As the original author, please expect an email with questions if the fix is non-technical. It would also help to know if this is an issue only on the test server. Have you confirmed if there is also failure on a local machine? As the Industry Chair, I want to clarify the terms of the license signed by commercial users so that appropriate expectations are set. Section 7 covers warranties and disclaimers and sections 7.2 and 7.3 indicate that the software is provided "as-is" and without warranty or support. That said, the Rosetta Commons employs two developers to support the developer community at large and testing infrastructure for this and other repositories. Since there is great demand for their time, efforts are underway to hire additional people to support documentation and development efforts using funds already available. Again, thank you for alerting the Commons to this issue. |

The test has been failing to run for some time, and I'd appreciate it if someone in the RosettaCommons would fix this. A company that I co-founded, Menten AI, pays to use my simple_cycpep_predict application. Since Rosetta is commercial software and since I'm put in the position of being a customer of my own code, I am not going to continue to do the work of a developer: I think it's more than reasonable for us to expect software support for our money.
