Hey,

thank you for this repo. I was waiting for the ability to use the camera feed in unreal for a long time.
Was wondering whether it is normal that the camera distortion is inferior to the one being available via the steam menu?
Everything feels smaller and it is more dizzying.

Thanks for checking it out.

The postprocess example should match up fairly closely with the 2D room view mode on the original Vive and Index at least (the fancy Index 3D reconstruction mode isn't available in the API). The orb is set to to closer projection distance to match up better with close objects like the hand grabbing it, but it will distort with the rest of the room.

What headset are you using?

If you set the SteamVR room view mode to Colored Edges and the transparency all the way to the left, you can overlay it with the game to see any differences.

If there are any significant differences to the 2D Room View mode, could you take some screenshots of them?
