Is the latest Ghidra generally achieves better performance than retypd?

I did a thorough study on coreutils using ghidra and retypd. I observed that ghidra's latest version achieves better results than the 2016 paper - https://github.com/GrammaTech/retypd-ghidra-plugin

Does that happen because Ghidra evolved so much after their tool is open sourced?

Or maybe I am wrongfully running retypd plugin in the headless mode. Do you have any thoughts?
