Strange bug related to 'IsDirty'

We have an existing Csla application. We added an object that has a child object. The parent object is showing IsDirty true but IsSelftDirty is false. We checked the child object and IsDirty is false there : ).

All of our objects inherit from a custom base class that has the following

 protected override void MarkNew()
 {
     base.MarkNew();
     MarkClean();
 }
