Bulk save secret changes instead of one by one #2031
Comments
Hey @Grraahaam this looks like a good addition. I would like to work on this issue. |
Hey @akhilmhdh could you please assign me this issue. |
This will be kept in hold as infisical undergoing major revamp in secret manager including the architecture and apis. Ofcourse bulk support is consider and will be addressed going forward. The timelines are getting planned and will be updated and worked up accordingly |
Large changes to secrets are complete. This can now be picked up for contribution |
Hey @Utkarshn10 are you planing to take up this issue now? |
Hey folks, thanks for letting me know. Will start working on this one |
Thanks folks, while waiting for someone to build this feature, I also created a shell script to push it in bulk leveraging the existing Get it here: https://github.com/xinbenlv/infiscal-push-env A caveat is that currently |
Feature description
Today when I edit several secrets at once I have to save the changes for each one of them. It could be convenient if the user could save all its changes/edits at once by clicking on a new button "Save", somewhere at the top near the "Add Secret" button for example.
This new button could even follow the viewport when scrolling a potential long list of secrets to be able to save from anywhere within the dashboard when editing.
I've also noticed that there's no warning when leaving the page with unsaved changes, that could be nice to have too (may open a new issue for this tho, let me know)
Why would it be useful?
It's be so much faster to apply multiple changes at once when working on a lot of secrets. UX improvement!
