Older Heroic version runs games, newer doesn't

I downloaded several versions of Heroic, and curiously the older ones run The Witcher for me while the newer ones don't.

• Version v1.10 (published October 2021) doesn't run The Witcher, but runs Untitled Goose Game.
• Version 1.9.3 (published in September 2021) runs the Witcher and all other. (I needed to use the newer version to download the games as the older didn't do that with The Witcher)

I wonder how that can be since they all share the same settings. I followed the setup in these tutorials here:

What happens in v1.10:
I press "Play Game" and after a few seconds the button toggles back from "Playing" to "Play Game".
Technically it seems the game starts somehow. Here is the log:

Since I can play with the older version I am ok, but I wanted to let the devs here know about this issue.
