Hi @xbald, did you consider Gradle (http://gradle.org)?

IMHO it is much more powerful. I can help a bit to work on it, if you will decide on it;)

I too would really appreciate a good maven repo, would make building projects with (up-to-date) Catalano much-much easier than it is now.
