Dynamic repeater: Query Builder source

I'd like to be able to use the results of a query (from the query builder) as a source for the dynamic repeater.

Currently, the query can be used as a source for a listing, but a listing grid is not always suitable for the purposes. Example: I have a query that returns a list of dates filtered by some condition and I want to display them as a simple comma-separated list. A dynamic repeater can display a repeater field as a comma-separated list, but it cannot use the query results as its source.
