Add "elastic tabstops"?

Hi,

have you heard about "elastic tabstops"?

Basically, it's a different way to get code aligned nicely. I've played around with it a little bit and I think it can be useful.
On the website above, the inventor links to a lot of implementations. So I guess it could be possible to re-use some existing code.
From a practical view, I think "elastic tabstops" should only be an option, which a user has to activate (maybe on a per-file basis?)

hi,
I don't like this idea, if it needs the changes in the core. idea's animated screenshot looks strange/odd.
moving the realization to plugins? it will need hard-to-add API.

Always Aligned VS, my extension which implements elastic tabstops for Visual Studio

so VS has the API for that idea. so I suggest to add API here too. what API? I don't know yet. this should be suggested to me.
