But i don't know what is it: my code don't create such files. did you get some 3rd party package (flatpak, snap, etc)? if so, try package from official site. |

2nd thing which you can try. unpack (from official site) .xz package to a new PORTABLE dir. run 'cudatext' from there. does it create that stuff? |

I guess some 3rd party component (for Qt?) does it. converted the issue to 'discussion'. |

On Linux, CudaText creates a new file in
$HOME/.config/
for every file it edits. This is unacceptable.I've barely begun using CudaText and already I have over 30 files in
$HOME/.config/
with file names ending with "- CudaTextrc
", and that number is growing. At an absolute minimum, these files should be created in a subdirectory, such as
$HOME/.config/CudaText/
.Even that is a security issue, as it reveals the names of the files that have been edited, which may have been stored in a separately encrypted filesystem. I would suggest that such files should be stored in the project directory instead.
