The app does not resume from persistent app state despite the User Guide stating so.

Are we going to implement what this is referring to?
Our version of persistent app state was only about primarykey innit

I thought persistent app state was supposed to be that a user can close the app to carry on with their real life group activities, but when they re-open the app they will be right back in the same activity / context / whatever it is? So its supposedly easier to use and more seamless or something like that.

Alternatively we can just discard this entirely

@liakify @podocarp We can attempt to do this by this Saturday 2359h - if we can't meet this deadline for the feature freeze, let's discard the feature.

Feature has been pushed back to v2.0.
