The code at https://github.com/lukecyca/TetrisThemeArduino which this repo cites as being 'based on' was released under the MIT licence.

The README.md for that repo clearly states:

By not including that notice when including/modifying TetrisTheme.cpp, you've violated the terms of the licence. (Specifically the "The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software." part.)

The copyright notice needs to be included in this repo (and its forks), otherwise you technically don't have the permissions afforded by the licence (including permissions to modify the code and publish derivatives).
