pip install ./diff-gaussian-rasterization failed with no module named 'torch' #64

python: 3.11.9
torch 2.1.0+cu118
torchaudio 2.1.0+cu118
torchvision 0.16.0+cu118
xformers 0.0.22.post4+cu118
(I tried other torch+xformers versions like 2.2.0/2.3.0, they all failed with same error)

Looks like the similar error with : #12
should I using ubuntu instead of windows11?

try it with

cd /diff-gaussian-rasterization
pip install . --no-build-isolation

if like me, your venv module is kinda stupid, you will encounter an error:

error: invalid command 'bdist_wheel'

just run

pip install wheel

and you should be good to go.

Running the bare command on windows creates an issue where torch is not referenced :
